Healthy Campus 2010 Goal #19
Promote health and reduce chronic disease associated with diet and weight

Priority Objectives:

  • Increase the proportion college students who are at a healthy weight (BMI 18.5-25).
  • Reduce the proportion college students who are obese (BMI > 30).
  • Reduce the proportion college students who are overweight or obese (BMI > 25).
  • Increase the proportion of college students who consume at least five daily servings of fruit and vegetables.
  • Increase the proportion college students who consume less than 10% of calories from saturated fat.
  • Increase the proportion of college students who meet dietary recommendations for calcium.
